Safe use of diamond segmented tools and sustainability

Sustainability and safety are often misunderstood together and separated, but they are inextricably linked. Sustainability is a long-term vision based on three pillars: environment, social and economy. An approach to sustainability entails a number of issues that fall under the three pillars.
Safety under the social pillar: safety of employees
As a general rule, safety can be found under labour, occupational health, and safety, answering the question of what safety measures employers have in place to ensure the health and safety of their employees. To be sustainable, an organization must ensure that employees are in a healthy and safe environment and address their well-being systematically.
Safety under the economic pillar: Safety of end-users
Abrasives products on themselves are not dangerous, but it is how they are used that makes them extremely dangerous and calls for safety precautions to be taken by end-users every time. To be sustainable, manufacturers must improve the quality of their products and provide the necessary information to end-users in order to avoid accidents.
Safety under the environmental pillar: Safety of the community
Among the sustainability pillars for industry, the environment may be the most obvious, but most complicated. Climate neutrality, carbon footprint, and zero-pollution action plans are ambitious concepts that demand manufacturers radically change how they make products.
