IACDS Annual Meeting 2024: this is how it went

The beginning of this year has brought with itself the IACDS Annual Meeting & Networking Event 2024.
On this occasion, the association travelled all the way out to Las Vegas, US, to celebrate its annual encounter. Organized in collaboration with the US Concrete Drilling and Sawing Association, CSDA, the IACDS Annual Meeting 2024 took place within the frame of the WORLD OF CONCRETE trade fair.
Over 30 attendees from all around the globe, including several delegations of the National Association, gathered together to attend the meeting. As usual, the aim of the meeting was to strengthen the relationships between the industry professionals, get closer with the CSDA colleagues and exchange knowledge, experience and ideas on an international level.
The meeting also coincided with the IACDS General Assembly, in which the association members and other guests had the chance to get more familiar with the IACDS activities. The highlight of the General Assembly was the presentation of IACDS project on Training and Certification. Showcased by Mr Joel Vinsant, from Drilling and Sawing Associatoin (UK) and Mr Jose Blanco, IACDS Secretary General, it aims at creating an international system, aided by the different actors – contractors, manufacturers and National Association, – thus promoting the good practices in the sector.
Lastly, the Welcome Reception took place, closing the event with a more informal and personal note. During the Reception, Mr Douglas H. Walker, IACDS President, presented Ms Kellie Kimball, CSDA President, an honorary plaque in recognition of the association’s hard work and dedication to the drilling and sawing industry.
