Edinburgh will host a key gathering for the construction and drilling sector as the IACDS Annual Meeting 2026 takes place from May 14 to 15, organized in collaboration with the DSA. The event is expected to draw industry professionals from across Europe for a focused program of meetings, technical sessions, and networking.
Proceedings begin on Thursday morning with a leisure program offering attendees a chance to explore the Scottish capital, followed by lunch and the DSA Annual Meeting, reserved for members. The IACDS Annual Meeting will take place later in the afternoon, bringing together members of both organizations to discuss current priorities and developments in the field.
A networking break with coffee and exhibitions will lead into a series of conference sessions. Highlights include a case study on the Jonderberry Jetty demolition presented by Elliot Wood of KM Concrete Cutting, as well as a presentation by Michael Findeis of the German association FBS on new standards covering specifications, execution, and billing in concrete drilling and cutting.
The program will also feature the 2026 Diamond Award-winning project, “Tunnel Vision: Scottish National Galleries,” presented by Scott Murray of Core Drilling Specialists Ltd. The day concludes with an evening dinner in the city centre, offering further opportunities for professional exchange.
