Leisure program
Sightseeing in the heart of Scotland
The Edinburgh Guided Walking Tour will be the best option for your first days in the city. As you will see, Scotland’scapital hides three cities in one: the Old Town, which has always inspired writers; an Edinburgh full of scientific discoveries; and, finally, an Edinburgh for travelers.
A three-hour walk to understand why Edinburgh is part of the UNESCO World Heritage and is considered a City of Literature. The tour route will begin on the Royal Mile, the backbone of the city until the 18th century. On the way up to Edinburgh Castle, we will discover, in general, the particularities of the city and Scotland: from the urbanism of its closes to the evolution of the kilt and tartan, including whisky and haggis.
Later, we will take a break at Grassmarket before walking towards the territory of Harry Potter and Bobby the doginside Greyfriars Cemetery. Once at this point, we will encounter hundreds of stories about paranormal phenomena,politics, religion, or the symbol of the thistle and even people sunbathing.
Since not everything is history, this tour will also allow you to find places to eat, where to go listen to music, where to buy souvenirs, or how to take advantage of the activities that flood Edinburgh every month.
