The 27th Concrete Drilling Day of the Association of Austrian Concrete Drilling and Cutting Companies, VBS, took place from 14–15 March 2025 at the Mondi Resort on Lake Grundlsee, bringing together members and guests in the Styrian Salzkammergut region.
The event opened on Friday with a visit to the Altaussee Salt Mines, where participants explored the historic site and gained insights into its long mining tradition. The day concluded with a relaxed evening gathering at the Blaa-Alm mountain hut, offering time for informal exchange in a unique alpine setting.
The second day was dedicated to the VBS Annual General Meeting.After the opening remarks by the chairwoman, representatives of partner associations and the international federation delivered greetings. Outgoing chairwoman Maria Lang was honoured with small gifts in recognition of her service.
The agenda included reports on the past year, the treasurer’s report, discharge of the board, and the presentation of the 2025 budget. A special moment was the address by founding chairman Bernhard Seidl, marking the association’s 30th anniversary.
Elections were held, with further board meetings planned to determine the new chairmanship. The event concluded with a shared lunch, reinforcing the strong sense of community within the VBS.
