The German Association presents a new system for the future’s activity

In the frame of the trade fair BEBOSA 2017, the Fachverband Betonbohren und –sägen e.V showed to the public a new conical six times polygon profile thread for drill bits, which will be presented during the conference program of the IACDS Annual Convention 2017 too under the tittle “New tools and technologies, new challenges and new business opportunities”

This presentation will be made by the general manager of FINDEIS BETONBOHRSERVICE GMBH, Mr. Michael Findeis.

The advantages of this new system are:

  • Easy to loosen the drill bit without using any tools. Ergonomic assembly and dismantling of the drill bit. Operator and machine are being looked after and lower danger of any injuries.
  • Hi-torque is transferred easily and without vibrations.
  • Excellent dynamic properties through a perfect concentricity
  • Very short construction and low weight.
  • Self-centering.
  • Easy cleaning because there are no hollows as they are in the thread.
  • While drilling horizontal the drill bit can be laid on the spindle. Then both hands are free and can be used to lock the screw nut.

In 2010, the National Associations of Germany, Switzerland, Austria and The Netherlands agreed to work towards a new system in order to improve the diamond-drilling technology.

With this demanding and complex goal, the German Association had been directed at the industry and their manufacturers’ association the VDMA (Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau).

The association, at which most the manufactures of diamond tools are members, they then founded a task force to solve this problem.

Seven years after, this is the result, and until all manufacturers are offering this system as a standard connection with their motors the contractor can use a six times polygon adapter.
