Some of the most innovative and challenging concrete sawing and drilling projects completed by CSDA contractors this past year are being recognized and showcased during a World of Concrete ceremony in Las Vegas.
On Wednesday, January 18, 2017, the association hosted the 4th Annual Concrete Openings Awards and presented by Mr. Kevin Baron, CSDA President.
The following companies were the winners:
- Road, Bridges & Airports: Core Cut Ltd. (West Lothian, Scotland, UK)
- Building Construction: Holes Incorporated (Houston, Texas, USA)
- Infrastructure Renovation: J.P. Hogan Coring & Sawing Corp (Staten Island, New York, USA)
- Industrial Renovation: Precision Concrete Cutting of Carey (Carey, Ohio, USA)
The inaugural Concrete Openings Awards ceremony was held in 2014 to showcase the best jobs covered in CSDA’s official magazine and recognize the contractors who performed the work.
This year, fifteen job stories were split into four categories and put before a panel of judges.
The panel scored each job based on its pre-planning, use of innovation, the degree of difficulty and quality requirements and the project with the highest score in each category was declared the winner.
