Meet the Austrian association throughout 2025

VBS, the Association of Austrian Concrete Drilling and Cutting Companies, which is a National Association member of IACDS, hosted the 1st information event for concrete drilling and sawing professionals at the Hotel Attersee in Seewalchen. See how it went and their projects and activities throughout the year.
The event took place on January 24, 2025, at the Hotel Attersee in Seewalchen. It was an important industry gathering, particularly for non-member companies, to gain insight into the VBS’s work and discuss current industry challenges and opportunities.
The agenda included a welcome address by Chairwoman Maria Lang and an introduction of the VBS and its officials by Deputy Chairwoman Ms Manfred Gratz. Moreover, the Secretary General, Mr Secretary Bernhard Seidl, reviewed the past 30 years of successes in training and standards work, and the Deputy Chairman, Mr Wolfgang Niedermühlbichler, held a presentation on the advantages of the membership.
After that, Mr Roderich Braun, the supplier representative, talked about the future industry challenges and opportunities, and key discussion topics included excessive bureaucracy, the weakening construction industry, the shortage of skilled workers, and technical innovations.
Other important events of VBS
VBS has had other important events and activities throughout the year, which included the Concrete Drillers’ Day on March 13 and 14 in Grundlsee, or the Bauma Trade Fair in Munich, where some of their members did not miss the opportunity to attend.
