INTERBORING’S job application for the Diamond Award 2025

From IACDS, we are pleased to announce that INTERBORING, a company based in Belgium, has joined the Diamond Awards 2025 in the Job category.
Interboring played a key role in the decommissioning of the Belgian Reactor 3 (BR3), Europe’s first pressurized water reactor. The company is tasked with dismantling the 15-meter-high biological shield, which contains 2,200 tonnes of reinforced concrete.
Using advanced wire sawing techniques, the team present the job that consits in cutting the concrete into 10-ton blocks, ensuring safe and efficient removal. This complex, high-precision work showcases Interboring’s expertise in handling challenging demolition projects. This project aims to embody the innovation and excellence recognized by the Diamond Award.
