Get to relive the IACDS Annual Convention 2023

This month of May was marked by one of the biggest moments of the year for our association: the IACDS Annual Convention 2023.
On May 25 and 26, Venice has become a host for the professionals of the concrete sawing and drilling industry from all around the world.
Venice, a beloved place in the industry
On the day before the convention, IACDS also celebrated its General Assembly. This meeting, one of the most important of the association, is aimed at discussing the current state of IACDS, the advancement of its projects and taking a look at the direction it will be taking this year.
Once the General Assembly was finished, the reunion was celebrated with a formal dinner. On this occasion, an authentic pirate boat has taken the guests through the city’s canals. The cheerful atmosphere joined with beautiful views, provided the attendees with a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
The following day, in the early morning, our professional program has begun. Since the sawing and drilling industry is experiencing an important generational transition, one important question was brought to light: how do we attract new talents to the sector? To answer it, several conferences about the topic took place.
On the other hand, the guests also had a chance to witness different case studies about the dismantling of radioactive waste concrete drums and the dry Cutting of Belgian Reactor-3’s Bioshield.
Once the professional program has come to its end, IACDS held an informal dinner, to celebrate another successful event.
Our next meeting, already planned
The end of the IACDS Annual Convention 2023 has brought with it something new. We are very proud to announce that the IACDS Annual Meeting 2024 already has a date!
