BAUMA 2016, the world’s biggest trade show
23/11/2015

In the frame of this trade fair, the International Association of Concrete Drillers and Sawers, IACDS, will celebrate its Annual meeting 2016 and the Diamond Award ceremony.
BAUMA 2016, the world’s biggest trade show will be held for April 11 to 17, 2016, in Messe München exhibition center, Munich (Germany).
Always striving to maintain its status as the best place to glimpse the future of the industry, BAUMA now has a new subtitle: “31st Edition of the World’s Leading Trade Fair for Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines, Mining Machines, Construction Vehicles and Construction Equipment”.
But that’s not the only new development. BAUMA also has a new claim: “The heartbeat of our industry”, which also emphasizes the role of the trade fair as a key industry platform and a pacemaker for innovations, as the exhibitors time their development cycles to coincide with this showcase.
BAUMA 2016 will also be sporting a new key visual.
The familiar yellow “b” has been kept and expanded to visualize the four sections at BAUMA: “All Around Construction Sites”; “Mining, Extraction and Processing of Raw Materials”; “Production of Building Materials”; and “Component and Service Suppliers”.

BAUMA Innovation Award
The BAUMA Innovation Award will be presented for the eleventh time at the upcoming BAUMA in 2016.
The award is a joint initiative carried out under the auspices of the German Engineering Federation (VMDA), the German Construction Industry Association (HDB), the Central Association of the German Construction Industry (ZDB), the German Building Materials Association (BBS) and BAUMA.
As last time, in 2016 the awards are again being presented in the following five categories: machinery, components, construction process/construction work, research and design.

Innovations for the future
The awards are presented for promising developments that are future-capable, cost-efficient and offer a high practical benefit that contribute towards energy and resource-efficiency and/or humanization of the workplace.
In all categories, the innovations submitted must be relevant to the construction equipment, building material and mining equipment industry or to the construction industry and the building material industry.
An international jury of representatives from research, industry and the trade press nominate three innovations in each category.
These are then announced at the BAUMA Media Dialog in Munich on January 19 and 20, 2016.
The presentation of the awards to the winners takes place on April 10, 2016, as part of the opening ceremony to BAUMA in Munich.

High demand for space
Again the event is set to be very diverse and international.
Already, at this point in time, almost 3,000 exhibitors from over 50 countries have applied to take part.
Just how important BAUMA is to the international building and construction machinery sector is also reflected in the number of international country pavilions that are being organized.
Nine countries in all are putting on dedicated presentations: Brazil, China, Czech Republic, France, Great Britain, Italy, Korea, Northern Ireland, and the US.
The top ten countries of origin among the exhibitors are as follows (after Germany, as per current applications status): Italy, Turkey, the Netherlands, Spain, UK, US, Austria, France, Sweden and Switzerland.
