A window to knowledge
5/07/2016

Let’s say you are interested to find out how the industry is working on other countries, to read publications and/or search for videos about your trade. What do you do?
Of course, you can search on Google, YouTube,… and get ready for long time browsing, or we as an industry can collect the most relevant publications and/or videos into a website.
Recently, the International Association of Concrete Drillers and Sawers, IACDS, launched a new library on its website.
This library aims to be a central repository for the publications, documents and videos of reference related with our industry.
Over time, the IACDS library can become an important place to anyone who wants to find information about the trade of concrete sawing and drilling. It will be a real window to knowledge.
To get to there, it is essential, first of all, the participation of all the IACDS members (national associations, contractors and suppliers), by filling it with contents; secondly, the collaboration of the companies to suggest publications, documents and videos; and finally, the help of any other professional of the trade interested in using the library.
In order to become a relevant repository of the concrete sawing and drilling industry, IACDS designed its library structured two types of contents: documents and videos, which can be from IACDS, from its members or from external sources.
In addition, these types of contents can be published in multiple languages, which means the library eases the access to the work of the industry in several countries.
The use of the library is quite simple. All the contents contain a short paragraph to explain briefly what is the publication, document or video and its main topic, and how to get them.
Therefore, the library of IACDS is an interesting tool for the promotion of all the industry, the national associations and all the companies that participate on it.
The design of the library is very functional, with a search bar allowing the users to combine different criteria.
IACDS truly encourages the national associations and all of its members to suggest contents and to use the new library, in order to build together a window of knowledge about the concrete drilling and sawing industry.
